The world’s most exciting composer and pianist Alexis Ffrench has releases ‘Christmas Piano with Alexis Ffrench,’ a magical, 24-track record in which he reflects on his most cherished Christmas memories from his childhood up to the present day.
Alexis notes:
“Christmas evokes childhood memories of sitting at the organ in our local church preparing to play for Midnight mass; the air filled with anticipation, as flickering candles cast a warm glow on the faces of the congregation. Equally precious are the magical memories of Christmas at home with my own children, where laughter and song echoed through the house, creating moments of togetherness that are forever etched in my mind.”
Already surpassing 50 million Spotify streams on his Christmas discography alone, the award-winning artist is no stranger to recording music for this special time of the year.
For the very first time, Alexis brings together his complete collection of Christmas tracks specially arranged for solo piano, including his special version of ‘In The Bleak Midwinter’, which he performed at the “Royal Carols: Together At Christmas” in 2022, beloved festive favourites plus four brand new singles, ‘Northern Lights’, ‘Footprints in The Snow’, ‘Dancing Lights’, and ‘Midnight’.
Throughout the album, Alexis perfectly encapsulates the jolly feeling of a traditional and cosy Christmas, perfectly setting the scene for a merry festive period. Taking listeners on a nostalgic Yuletide journey with his stunning renditions of Fairytale of New York’, ‘Silent Night’, ‘Happy Xmas (War is Over)’, and many more Christmas favourites, Alexis ensures the entire family will get into a true festive spirit:
“Through my music, I hope to radiate a heartfelt glow, reaching listeners far and wide and spreading love, joy and warmth throughout the world.”
Alexis has been on tour this festive season, kicking off in Edinburgh’s Queen’s Hall on Thursday 14 December, he then travelled to Birmingham, London and Gateshead, and tonight closes at Manchester’s Stoller Hall, just in time for everyone’s favourite time of the year.
