‘Preacher’ Is The Incredible New Single From House Music Collective, RUBA KPØ

Released October 14, ‘Preacher’ is the latest retro-sounding single from dance collective, RUBA KPØ. A deeply immersive track, you will find it impossible to resist its power.

Inspired by a mix of Gospel and club music, ‘Preacher’ is an analogue track that gets right into your very soul, and draws out something primitive and visceral in the listener. The bass guitar in combination with the pounding drums and percussion are immediately compelling; once the synths and random sounds join in, the listener will find it impossible to resist.

At about the first third mark, a spoken word vocal joins the frenzied instrumentals. They become more and more emphatic, and the listener is rendered powerless: where this musical collective goes they will follow.

Mixed and mastered by French producer, Scan X, best known as a collaborator with the legendary Laurent Garnier, the quality of ‘Preacher’ is both enigmatic and exquisite, fascinating and entrancing.

RUBA KPØ are a collective of musicians and DJs whose view is that genres, labels, and categories are unimportant, but what actually matters is the pure essence of sound and the electrifying vibe it brings.

Starting out back in 2019 with a release on ”Their journey began with a notable release on ‘Sonar Kollektiv’ bringing them to wider attention, RUBA KPØ have since expanded from the studio to performances and DJ sets on renowned global stages, including Worldwide Festival, Plages Électroniques Cannes, Shapes Festival Leysin, and performances in Zakynthos, and Oslo.
