Amanda Holley Drops Latest Single And Video, ‘RIDE OR DIE (SHOTGUN)’ Ahead Of New Project, ‘The HolleyGraphic EP’

Born in Newark, New Jersey, but now living in Los Angeles, Amanda Holley has music in her DNA, and has been singing before she could even speak. She followed this up by teaching herself to play violin, then piano, and shortly after, discovered she had a powerhouse five-octave vocal range. Add to this her gift for songwriting, it seemed only natural that a music career would be in her future.

Amanda is still in the early days of her career, but already she has performed the title track for the film, ‘Sharon 123’, performing at Carnegie Hall, Birdland, Highline Ballroom, and The United Nations, and opened Fashion Week for over five seasons. She also has a burgeoning fanbase, exemplified by her incredible following on social media, especially Instagram. Clearly this is Amanda Holley’s world, and we’re just lucky to be a part of it.

Amanda Holley’s newest single, ‘RIDE OR DIE’, is taken from her upcoming, ‘The HolleyGraphic EP’, and is a song written for anyone who’s going for a late night drive with their honey. While the single was released in April, it’s now paired with a music video, but it’s already done more than 100,000 streams, and been featured in The Hype Magazine, on iHeartRadio shows, and on more than 100 Spotify playlists.

Co-written with XXL Freshman Class Producer OhKayLaws (Korey Laws), renowned Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter/musician Chico Bennett (Lady Gaga, Madonna, Prince, Destiny’s Child, Usher), the prolific Avery K. Wilson, and emerging songwriter Alisha Harris, ‘RIDE OR DIE (SHOTGUN)’ is sensuous and catchy, with Amanda’s expressive vocals laid over a low-key retro beat. It’s a guaranteed earworm that you’ll not shake for days.

Speaking about the song, Amanda says,

“In our crazy world, now more than ever we need more unconditional love, more soul, and more courage to be there for those we care about. This song came from the depths of my feelings and desire to be in a ‘Ride or Die’ kind of love and to be there for music and my listeners through all the ups and downs.”

The music video for ‘RIDE OR DIE (SHOTGUN)’, shot and co-directed by Mikey Piliero in Amanda’s new hometown of LA, follows Amanda and her man, played by rising actor Tyree Meeks, as they take a drive from the city up to the mountains. The classic Cadillac they’re driving has been provided by Hollywood Rental Cars, and with it the pair are fully embracing their romantic adventure. The video also features a TikTok-ready dance, choreographed by Jesse Le @JMOVM3MENT and performed by Jesse Le, Brian Oliver, and Patrick Roseborough. All in all it’s a gorgeous clip, and we can guarantee that you’ll be inspired to take a drive on your own romantic adventure.
