Waydown Wailers Release New Country Rock Track And Video, ‘Firefall’

Founded by brothers Dave (guitar and vocals) and Christian Parker (B-Bender guitar), along with Michael Scriminger on drums, and joined by Joe Thomas on keyboards, guitars and vocals, as well as Connor Pelkey on bass, Waydown Wailers can rock it with the best of them. The latest single from the Syracuse New York band, ‘Firefall’, is taken from their upcoming fourth studio album, ‘Miles Of Roads’, set for release later this month.

‘Firefall’ tells the tale of Firefall State Park, which is located near the band’s home territory in upstate New York. The area is known for it’s mystery – compasses go crazy, and adventurers tend to go missing. It serves as a great foundation for a song, and Waydown Wailers are certainly the ones to do it when it comes to writing a story about the phenomenon.

The music video for ‘Firefall’, directed by Morgan Elliot, continues the story at the end of Waydown Wailers’ previous single, ‘Motor Scooter‘. Leaving their motor scooters behind, and this time driving in a truck, Joe and Dave seek the wisdom of an elder hunter to find the best hunting spots. Despite being warned not to go anywhere near Firefall, they still manage to find their way into those woods. Keep in mind the hitchhiker from ‘Motor Scooter’, played by drummer Mike – his story also continues in this new clip.
