Hannah Gold Jumps In With Both Feet In Video For New Single, ‘You Did This’

Pop songstress Hannah Gold is still only 23 years old but she’s rapidly making a name for herself with her music. New single, ‘You Did This’, shows she is a powerhouse of affirmation, and the accompanying music video proves just how strong she is.

Hannah Gold moved from Port Washington, New York, to Los Angeles to attend college, as well as follow her dreams as a singer songwriter. Her distinctive style blends pop, R&B, and rap/hip hop, and her previous 3 releases have so far garnered many thousands of streams on Spotify, as well as many YouTube views of her videos.

Gold describes her new release, ‘You Did This’ as “a bad b*tch girl’s anthem”; it’s a track that’s sadly relatable for so many, yet should prove incredibly empowering for those who have been in a similar situation.

For Gold, she was two years into a relationship, and the pair decided they’d keep it up long-distance. However, while Hannah is staying loyal despite her life being upturned, her significant other cheats on her. She overcomes her devastation through music, and ‘You Did This’ sees her fully recovered and in a better place, where she is able to love herself, and has regained her strength, confidence, and self-worth.

The music video, featuring the “You Ain’t Shi!t Cam”‘, sees the former lover caught in the act, after taking the bait of Gold’s accomplices. From there, Gold interrogates him without remorse, having no time for his arrogance, denial, and disrespect. Through each lyric she compels him to own up to his behaviour, and Gold shows she has the upper hand.
