Irish musical duo, Jedward, comprising twins John and Edward Grimes, are known for their music, their two time tilt at the Eurovision trophy, and, in the past year, their elevated social activism on their Twitter account. But there’s one thing that stands out among all others, and is especially useful in describing them – their iconic quiff hairstyles, which at their tallest stood 12 inches, straight up.
But all is set to change this Friday night on RTE One’s Late Late Show, when the pair go under the shears in the name of charity, raising much needed funds for The Irish Cancer Society. Yep. It’s all coming off.
The charity holds a special place in their hearts, as it was there for them and their family when their mother was fighting her own battle with cancer. Sadly, Susanna died just over two years ago, in February 2019.
Speaking tonight on Twitter, Jedward said,
“We hope all the funds raised with contribute to a cancer-free future. This is such a good cause. We’re sending so much strength and love to all those suffering with cancer.”
