Kayne Dynell, from Tacoma Washington, has many strings to his bow. A professional dancer, who started his own team, Varsity Crew, with whom he’s supported the likes of Snow Tha Product, Bebe Rexha, and Bhad Bhabie, he’s only recently fallen into music as part of his path, which includes a number of other successful ventures, including designing merchandise for his line, “Prize and Trophy”. Kayne’s new single, ‘Shining’, follows on from his debut single, ‘Come Up’, which has so far garnered nearly 150 thousand streams on Spotify alone, and the new track is a fine example of his unique blend of harmonic hip hop, RnB, and Pop.
The video for ‘Shining’ was shot at the Seattle Selfie Museum, and Kayne has made sure that all the usual scenes found in hip hop music videos feature in abundance. The crew shows up at a party/club, they’re surrounded by beautiful women, and amazing fashion. The Selfie Museum contains a number of dreamy rooms with bold colours and props to add that special something, and serves as an ideal location for the clip, with an energy similar to that in ‘Shining’. Kayne Dynell’s crew are his friends, superfans, and dancers from Varsity Crew, some of whom are resplendent in their “Prize & Trophy” gear, and together they serve as a fitting backdrop for the song.
