Comprising brothers Michael and Fabian, music producers QVNTRO have been making a name for themselves in the Arizona EDM scene, with their creations in the House Music sub-genre. Their latest single, ‘Hold On’, from QVNTRO, is accompanied by a music video which makes its focus on the dance routine known as shuffling.
Electronic music, and in turn, shuffling has seen its popularity soar via the rise of social media, and the intricate dance steps serve as a great way for dancers to express themselves while listening to music. ‘Hold On’ incorporates shuffling in every beat, with the clip featuring some of the community’s top shufflers, including Elena Cruz, Mary Grace, and Sterling Torress.
Aerial footage takes us on a tour of Tempe, Arizona, where we see a group of shufflers garbed in QVNTRO merch. Neon beams subtly emphasise their moves, and make a parallel to the tempo, the dancers cutting shapes while the rhythms and beats of the house music brings them all together as a community.
QVNTRO have previously collaborated with 24hrs, Futuristic, Keak Da Sneak, Nef the Pharaoh, and Rayven Justice, as well as produced tracks for Chill Dill, Lucky Luck, and iTSDUB. With over 1 million cumulative streams on Spotify alone, it’s clear that QVNTRO’s future is one that is as bright as the neon beams in their latest music video.
