Jon Davis channels the spirit of Motown with his new single, ‘Goodbye’, which is released today.
An absolute bop from start to finish, reminiscent of Motown classic artists such as Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, Jon Davis’s song, ‘Goodbye’ came about when he had a negative encounter with someone. Rather than internalise it and cause himself unnecessary stress, he took to his guitar and put all his emotions into it – but instead of making the choice to be down, he instead decided to make the song as upbeat as he possibly could, so full of life and meaning that the listener can’t help but dance along. ‘Goodbye’ brings with it the message that we don’t have to see the negative as a bad thing; we can turn it around and reutilise its energy for good.
Jon Davis had a career in film and television, before deciding to get into music. Inspired by the likes of Whitney Houston, Jon wears his heart on his sleeve, and his songs bring love and empowerment to the listener, and recently signed with OnKey Entertainment.
