F$O Dinero – ‘Talk To Me’

Fort Lauderdale’s F$O Dinero has been on our radar since last year, when we first came across him and his crew on ‘Yaw Yaw‘ last May. Since then we’ve also featured his song, ‘Panty Droppa‘ in December, and the prolific hip hop artist returns, with new single, ‘Talk To Me’.

The track is the pivotal song on his mixtape, ‘Color Money’; he’s dropped his bad boy persona for the song, and he’s sweet talking his girlfriend, with heartfelt and sincere – and seductive – lyrics. He’s vulnerable. He raps, but he’s also singing, and does each with the same lean and succinct delivery. The video takes the same sincere sentimentality as the song: Dinero presents his lady with a bunch of flowers, and they move to the bedroom, lit up in pink. He seems to have settled down, this is his chosen love; they playfight over the TV remote control, it’s an homage to domestic bliss.

Just like F$O Dinero himself, the song is a development in style and character, and serves as a means by which to show the world just what he’s capable of.
