Breakout singer-songwriter and musician Summer Walker has teamed up with London On Da Track and Grammy-Award winner Chris Brown for a brand-new song, ‘Something Real’. Produced by London On Da Track, who executive produced Walker’s chart-topping debut, ‘Over It’, the outstanding collaboration features the two musical dynamos trading vocal barbs over a buoyant, radio-ready beat.
Summer, London and Chris Brown have linked up for single release ‘Something Real’. Right from the beginning, you can tell it is going to be a bass-heavy single. The harmonising throughout the song on top of the beat and the arrangement is amazing.
Compared to ‘Over It’, ‘Something Real’ is very different in terms of the beat; it’s more upbeat rather than the mellow arrangement of the previous track, as well as the lyrics which focus on the reality of heartbreak and Summer’s reflections on past relationships. This beat has more bass compared to what you would normally hear on the radio, and a very catchy song, especially with the beat that is on top of it, thanks to the amazing work of London On Da Track, who shows their chops as a producer, and knows exactly where to add the right beats and arrangements over the song.
The harmonies and Chris Brown’s voice demonstrate the vulnerability and passion in the song This song definitely feels like it has the potential to be a chart-topper!
The voices blend beautifully together, creating an amazing duo that you never think you needed until now!

These lyrics resonate with heartbreak but getting over someone, and being careful not to go through the same situation again, something a lot of people can relate to.
