ALPHABEAT ANNOUNCE UK TOUR & RELEASE A SPECIAL UK MIX OF SMASH COMEBACK SINGLE ‘SHADOWS’

Alphabeat are back with a three date UK tour in April 2020.

The band played an incredible sold-out show at Oslo in Hackney in June and they had such a brilliant time they couldn’t wait to return! They have confirmed three dates next Spring, kicking off on 2nd April 2020 at Subterania in London, followed by shows at The Old Market in Brighton and The Garage in Glasgow. Pre-sale tickets go on sale September 11th 2019 at 10am exclusively through Alphabeat’s newsletter sign-up here and go on general sale from 10am on Thursday 12th September, here.

Coinciding with this announcement, the UK have been treated to a special mix of Alphabeat’s amazing comeback track Shadows, out this Friday 13th September. The track was mixed by Jeremy Wheatley, who has worked with some of the biggest names in music including Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williiams, also mixed Alphabeat’s fantastic debut single ‘Fascination’. Shadows was originally released earlier this year, and was their first musical offering after a six year hiatus. It boasts over 4 million streams and has spent over 22 weeks on the Top 10 airplay chart in their native Denmark.

Talking of the mix and the upcoming dates, Alphabeat added:

“We’ve been on a hiatus – for way too long – but it feels so good to be back together and we’re super excited to finally release new music! ‘Shadows’ is about how the dark times in life should never bring you down and is inspired by a melancholy Motown vibe with a signature drum beat which has become a bit of an Alphabeat trademark. We accidently crossed paths with Jeremy Wheatley who mixed ‘Fascination’ and ‘10,000 Nights’ and we’re so thrilled to have him back in the mix on ‘Shadows’.”

“Playing a sold-out show at Oslo, Hackney back in June reminded us how much we’ve missed touring the UK. It was magical! We can’t wait to come back for more!“

Alphabeat recently announced the release of their highly anticipated fourth studio album ‘Don’t Know What’s Cool Anymore’, arriving 1st November through Warner Music Denmark via Absolute Label Services. (Pre-order here.) Alongside announcing the album, Alphabeat premiered the infectious ‘I Don’t Know What’s Cool Anymore’, the second track to be taken from the 10-track LP. The song was also added to Spotify’s prestigious New Music Friday UK playlist (738k followers). Stream here.
