Soggy clothes, slippery mud beneath their feet, and the joy of music fans defined Manchester’s Parklife Festival this year.
Featuring a star-studded headlining line-up including Solange, George Ezra, Mark Ronson and many more, Saturday June 8 – the first day of the weekend festival- began with strong showers that left everyone covering up their neon festival looks with plastic ponchos.
But no amount of rain could dampen moods as people of Manchester and beyond gathered with friends and strangers at Heaton Park, lost in the music. One of the earlier highlights of the festival was the dancehall beats of Seani B, as crowds gathered on Saturday afternoon to dance along.
Sunday had even better things in store. With more sunshine and more enthusiasm, the likes of Solange and George Ezra made the day worth every effort.
Parklife’s tenth anniversary was a haven for music lovers as the party spirits stayed high from beginning to end. With the recent announcement of the festival 2020 dates and early bird tickets on sale already, the party is poised to continue next year.
