The hugely talented R&B/pop artist Chloe Tang has just released a stunning new single, ‘Lame’.
Based in LA and having been trained at the prestigious Grammy Camp a few years ago, she is now a fast-rising talent. Staying consistently true to her unique vibe, she blends touches of rock, pop and dance together to make for a beautifully rounded signature.
Her work on ‘Lame’ is unashamedly brilliant – she switches between raw and glossy tones whilst making a strong narrative with her lyrics.
Speaking about the track, Tang says:
This song is interesting because the content of the lyrics completely juxtapose the vibe of the music, but I think that’s what makes it cool. You listen to the song and it’s pretty upbeat but the lyrics are actually pretty intense. The song is basically shedding light on anxiety and trying to let people know it’s a very real thing and even though you make think I’m being lame, there’s so much more to it that that. I’ve been accused of being too emotional, lazy, having bad work ethic, and so many other things in social and professional environments – and yeah that sucks – but in the end I don’t give a shit what other people think because I know my mental health comes first and these kinds of matters don’t have to be taboo to talk about.
