GALANTIS BARES ALL IN ‘BONES’ MUSIC VIDEO

Dance music hitmakers Galantis have played Coachella, Lollapalooza and Radio 1’s Big Weekend but here, exclusively for Bones Park, they bare all for a performance like you’ve never seen before. In their latest music video – ‘Bones’ featuring OneRepublic – the Grammy-nominated duo takes you on an out-of-body experience at a fantasy theme park.

Galantis – who has clocked up over 3 billion streams and 42 platinum records in 18 countries – are known for their fun and eye-popping music videos. The pair tapped video director Spencer Hord of AfterWeDead for ‘Bones’. Spencer said,

“This project was a rare occasion where our amazing team of animators, editors, and production nerds saw the album artwork and immediately knew how to visualise their concept.”

Bringing to life the song was no straightforward feat. He said,

“We wanted to do something conceptually simple but visually challenging. The goal was to create a literal representation of ‘Bones’ with 3D animation, and merge these CG assets with a moody amusement park environment to create a surreal mixed-reality narrative. We shot the live action plates at Castle Park in Riverside – a small theme park in Southern California I grew up attending for various grade-school birthday parties. The location was much better than I remembered, and the production process became a nostalgic experience to say the least.”

‘Bones’ builds acoustically and takes flight in true Galantis fashion. The Swedish duo’s latest single follows up the recent success of ‘San Francisco’ (feat. Sofia Carson), along with ‘Emoji’, ‘Satisfied’ (feat. MAX), and ‘Spaceship’ (feat. Uffie). Known for their over-the-top live performances, Christian Karlsson (also of Bloodshy & Avant, and Miike Snow) and Linus Eklöw (Style of Eye) are spanning the globe with festivals and shows in 2019, including a headline show at New York’s Brooklyn Mirage on 5 July, a show at Los Angeles’ Shrine Expo Hall on 18 October and more – visit wearegalantis.com for all live dates.

Galantis’s second album The Aviary debuted as a Top 10 album in 23 countries and received widespread critical praise. The New Yorker proclaimed, “Galantis sends crowds soaring with reliably mammoth melodies,” while NYLON raved, “Everything Galantis touches is gold.” Additionally, their debut album Pharmacyreached No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart and spawned hit singles ‘Peanut Butter Jelly‘ and ‘Runaway (U & I)‘ the latter of which is RIAA certified gold in seven countries and earned GRAMMY nominations for “Best Dance Recording” and “Best Remixed Recording”.

GRAMMY-nominated OneRepublic, is comprised of singer/songwriter and lead vocalist Ryan Tedder, guitarists Zach Filkins and Drew Brown, bassist and cellist Brent Kutzle, and drummer Eddie Fisher.  The band released their debut set Dreaming Out Loud in 2007. The Mosley Music Group/Interscope release included the multi-platinum-selling smash single “Apologize,” which shattered digital sales and airplay records worldwide and received a Grammy Award nomination. The band’s sophomore album, 2009’s Waking Up, produced the hit singles “All the Right Moves,” “Secrets” and “Good Life.” The certified-platinum album Native followed in 2013, featuring the No.1 hit and 10 million plus-selling single “Counting Stars,” along with a worldwide tour. OneRepublic released Oh My My, their fourth full-length album in 2016. This past spring, the band released “Start Again ft. Logic,” a song featured on the soundtrack for the Netflix drama 13 Reasons and “Connection” which was part of FCA’s Summer of Jeep campaign.
