Mollie Jay – ‘Wedding Crashers’ (ft Blaze Hunter)

Out tomorrow, ‘Wedding Crashers’ from Mollie Jay has a funky 60s-infused vibe that reminds us of artists such as Pixie Lott, Duffy, and Amy Winehouse.

Featuring Blaze Hunter, and produced by Sam Christian from The Dungeon Family, the track has hit written all over it. We no sooner finished listening than we hit replay. The song is about a couple who are out for a good time, and crash a wedding reception. Havoc ensues, but they only have eyes for each other. It’s an upbeat feel good song which is nicely divided between Mollie’s soulful vocals and Blaze Hunter’s free flow. Then in the last third the pair blend soul and hip hop in a way that really shouldn’t work, but works Oh. So. Well.

‘Wedding Crashers’ is out 12 May on all platforms. You can find out more about Mollie Jay, and her music, online on Spotify, Soundcloud, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and her official website.
