Michael Fang & Chigo Ace – ‘Now’

Conceived in Dallas, Texas by students of Texas Tech University, Third Force Collective set out to revolutionise hip hop. Two of their members, Michael Fang and Chigo Ace, have collaborated on their new single, ‘Now’.

Third Force Collective currently comprises Courney Harris (now General Manager), Chigo Ace, Michael Fang, Li Blanc, and Sunny. They’ve worked in collaboration with musicians, dancers, actors, and visual artists, and through the various art forms have kept a constant flow of energy they call the “Darc Wav”, which keeps the Third Force brand consistent. ‘Now’ is the perfect example of this, with lean hooks and smooth rhymes, with lyrical swagger and intricate cadences.

The video for ‘Now’ features model and actress Kylie Boyd, singing the melody, while filmmaker and fellow Texas Tech alumnus follows them around Lubbock. They party the day away, and are concerned with nothing but optimism. They’ve got every right to be positive, and ‘Now’ shows us that collectives such as Third Force don’t need major labels to achieve success in the music industry.
