New York native Angelica Joni specialises in EDM, pop, and dance music, and has been performing for live audiences since she was only eight years old. Her latest single, ‘Exhale’, is the followup to her single, ‘Weightless’, which spent 8 weeks on the Billboard Dance Chart. She also took her considerable talents to NJ Pride, which with an audience of 15,000, is one of the largest LGBT events in the United States.
The video for ‘Exhale’ is directed by established producer/remixer, Valentin Fuhrer, who’s known for working with Britney Spears, among others. Angelica has worked with Valentin before on her single ‘Weightless’, so it was an easy choice when deciding who to go for this time around. Packed with dance floor energy and catchy beats, and sees Angelica drenched in a softly blurred light, against blooming flowers. The overall effect is one of vibrant colour, which suits the narrative very well. Initially seeming to be a love rivalry, the song and video are in fact a celebration of love, with the focus on passion.
