Florida native Alexander “Eskeerdo” Izquierdo left school at the age of 15 to pursue a music career. It was the best decision he could have made: he’s now an established songwriter and his resume includes songs written for Rihanna, Kanye West and Fifth Harmony – as well as multiple Grammy Awards.
‘Bitta’ was released in January this year, with the video coming out last month. Eskeerdo describes it as a call-out to “all the uptight folks who stay mad at the world…the one[s] who are always crying about something.”

The video contains all the hip hop hallmarks of money and beautiful women, with Eskeerdo – contrasting the less successful who are “bitter like you bit into a lemon” instead of working hard to make their own success – “a dude at the bar chewing on free ice” while others are popping bottles of champagne that they’ve earned. The track has a grime feel to it, with Eskeerdo rhyming over the simple instrumentation of chimes and beats.
