‘In This World’ – Trevor Wesley ft Raven Felix

Trevor Wesley was born in the greater Los Angeles area, and first showed an interest in music at the age of five, when he would sit at the piano and try and match the pitch of his mother’s vacuum cleaner. The son of one of Hollywood’s top camera operators, it’s easy to understand why Trevor wanted to be an actor from an early age, but music won out overall, in no small part the result of his family’s love of the likes of Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Eric Clapton, and The Beatles – among others.

His debut EP, ‘Only Live Once’, released in 2011, was a beautifully executed R&B album, accompanied by a promo video which featured no less than Al Pacino. Clearly Trevor understands the value of social media, and his YouTube Channel is a mix of vlogging, music and stunning footage.

Trevor Wesley independently released ‘Chivalry Is Dead’ in 2015, and the latest release from the album, ‘In This World’ features his friend Raven Felix, an emcee whose rhymes have found her a place in the California rap underground. The video is a cheeky celebration of bottoms, to put it plainly, shot in Super-8 style colours. It might sound like an unusual merger, but Trevor’s pop star vocals combine seamlessly with the song’s hip hop sentiments, and are complemented by Raven’s rap.
