Cameron Davidson is much more than your average singer-songwriter. The Alt-Pop musician writes, composes, and plays all his instruments himself: on stage he performs using a loop station and an acoustic guitar.
Watch Cameron in action in this video recorded by a fan:
In the studio, it’s just Cameron. Guitar, vocals (lead and backing), drums, bass, keys, penny whistle, electric washboard…everything – are by Cameron. His most recent song, ‘Invented’, has a bit of a Cold Play feel about it, with more than a vibe of Americana. It’s a really airy, light, eminently re-playable song, and a brilliant showcase of his talent.
Cameron’s no newcomer to the music scene. The Hampshire-based artist was formerly the frontman and songwriter for Southampton based band, Six Minutes to Sunrise. Gaining support along the way from BBC Introducing The South, as well as local radio, he has played with Lonely the Brave, Natives, Man Made, Dolomite Minor, Funeral for a Friend, and Nothing but Thieves.
