Commencing 11th July, Hull-based Ska band The Talks embark on a new tour which will see them travel through France, Germany and the UK riding on the back of their album ‘Commoners, Peers, Drunks and Thieves’ which was released in November 2014. Live album ‘Live at Kendal Calling’ released in January of this year gives an insight of what to expect at one of their gigs and if the atmosphere reflected in this is anything to go by you’d be in for a pretty good time even if you are not a big fan of Ska.
The Talks previously toured Europe playing well established festivals supporting well known bands such as Madness, The Specials, Rancid and The Beat to name but a few and this has helped them to build up a fan base in several countries. Accompanied by having Neville Staple of The Specials featuring on their single ‘Can Stand the Rain’ it would be fair to say that the guys have accomplished quite a staggering amount in a relatively short space of time.
Details of dates on the tour can be found on the band’s facebook page or website and it would be well worth checking them out, especially if you like an energetic, entertaining and lively night out.
