Lisa Stansfield – ‘Live in Manchester’

Lisa Stansfield3

With a career spanning over three decades, sales of nearly 20 million records and a string of international top 10 hits, including, ‘All Around the World’, ‘Change’, ‘All Woman’ and ‘Someday’, the name Lisa Stansfield should be one everyone knows straight away. After all, she’s been nominated for Grammys, won multiple BRITs, Ivor Novello and Silver Clef Awards as well.

Although Lisa took a long absence from the world of recorded music, she returned in grand style last year with her latest studio album, ‘Seven’. Charting all over Europe, including getting into the Top 15 in both the UK and Germany, the album was followed by a sold-out European tour, as well as the remix album, ‘Seven+’.

Now Lisa is proud to present ‘Live in Manchester’, a 2CD, DVD and Blu-Ray box set, to be released on August 28 through earMUSIC. Including bonus material, an interview of over 25 minutes giving a great in-depth insight into Lisa’s mind, the high quality production is bound to delight her many fans.

Filmed by Tim Sidwell (known for ‘Celebrating Jon Lord’) and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, the impressive performance clearly marks Lisa’s return to the international stage, and confirms her position as one of the UKs premier recording artists. Recorded at Bridgewater Hall on September 7 last year, in Lisa’s hometown, ‘Live in Manchester’ presents her in front of an enthusiastic audience – at ease with herself and her music.

Performing with her talented band (including songwriting partner and husband, Ian Devaney – whose own credits include the soundtracks for ‘The Bodyguard’ and ‘Indecent Proposal’), Lisa sings all her hits, as well as some from her latest album, such as ‘Can’t Dance’ and ‘So Be It’.
