Hailing from Norway, Sonijoh is the latest artist to tackle singer-songwriting blues style. Currently based in Liverpool we’ve only been given one taste of his signature sound, it may be small but it’s definitely mighty.
Track ‘Drama’ has seen Sonijoh be featured on the ARFM Productions’ movie ‘Go Method’, but what makes it so great? We took a listen and here’s what we found out.
Sonijoh has the rawest, deep, and passion-infused vocals we’ve heard in a long time. Merged with acoustic tones, blues twangs and a dash of indie-rock they’re excelled into a infectious beat filled track. The use of varied musical instrument additions, enchanting riffs and a solid backline beat result in a dramatic scene being set. The vocals and backing vocals work in sync to bounce off each other matching the musical backing tone from angst to sincere heartfelt moments.
