Wyclef Jean ft. Kofi Black and Moira Mack – ‘Sak Kap Fet’

We do love Wyclef Jean, and we make no secret of it. The three time Grammy Award winner is well known for his work with his band The Fugees, his solo work, and for writing for the likes of Santana and Shakira. Wyclef also loves Haiti, the homeland of his heritage, and in his latest single, ‘Sak Kap Fet’, on which he collaborates with Kofi Black and Moira Mack, he doesn’t shy away in showcasing how he feels about the country.

Beauty In The Breakdown – ‘Thinkin Bout You’

Imagine you found your one true love. You vow to stay together until the end of time, there’s not a doubt in each of your minds. But one night – without warning – your lover leaves never to return. What do you do? Break down in despair? Or rise like a phoenix, grow stronger, and forgive? ‘Thinkin Bout You’, the new single form LA electronic pop artists Beauty In The Breakdown, get its inspiration from a dream by front woman Chastity Ashley, and is paired with a video as powerfully emotive as the song itself.

Scott Gray – ‘Maybe It’s You’

Scott Gray grew up in a small town in rural Illinois, in an extremely sheltered community, without much access to discovering popular music. He saw a local news story about Christian singer/songwriter Amy Grant, and suddenly found he had a favourite artist. He started playing piano, and chose to learn every song by Amy, and her contemporary Christian artists, such as Michael W Smith. All changed however when Gray’s step-uncle said to him – “If you ever want to make something of yourself in the music industry, you’re gonna have to write your own songs” – and started working on his own tunes immediately.

Essentially Pop Meets: Outsider And Talks About #FIFA2018 And ‘Míol Mór Mara’ At #IrishMusicParty

Lisa spoke to Seán Ó Corcoráin, aka Outsider, ahead of his performance at the first ever Irish Music Party showcase, held at Dublin’s Workmans Club on 31 March 2018.
Seán, who perfoms with his band under the name Outsider, is the only Irish artist on the #FIFA2018 soundtrack, with the song ‘Míol Mór Mara’. Not only that, but it’s the first instance of a song which includes the Irish language included in any FIFA soundtrack. A high honour, and well deserved.
