Koosh Saxena – ‘Trying My Best’

Singer songwriter and guitarist Koosh Saxena hails from the seaside town of Capitola in Santa Cruz, California, and uses the ocean and beach to inspire him. He’s played in several bands over the past decade and a half, but now he’s a solo artist, and his life is filled with art and leisure like surfing, yoga, and sitar, which flow into his work and evoke a career that encourages listeners to take risks, follow their dreams, and practice humility. His latest single is called ‘Trying My Best’, and we have no doubt that he is.

Snypa & Lil Duke – ‘No Kizzy’

We’ve written about Snypa before, a man who can’t seem to drop a single without making a hit. He says, “Real Music comes from the soul, and it comes from the South”, and that southern hip-hop sound and mentality runs strong in Snypa’s blood. His new single, ‘No Kizzy’, sees him in collaboration with Lil Duke, who with the same southern no-nonsense approach lets his flow take over the second verse. Produced by WRAITHTALK Entertainment’s very own 31, who’s not yet 20 but is caring a path for himself for others to follow, ‘No Kizzy’ is masterful and pulls no punches.

Greg Hoy – ‘Here Comes The Light’

Greg Hoy has worn many different hats, working under many different names over the past 15 years. The singer songwriter, multi instrumentalist, recording producer and engineer, has had a hand in more than 30 albums over that time, but now he’s just performing under his own name. His first of 3 EPs, ‘Cacophony 1’, deep dives into the creativity of various life extremes like births, deaths, fires, and riots, which works well with a word that is defined as a harsh, discordant mixture of sounds: we’re certainly surrounded by a lot of overwhelming noise in this current climate; but music, as always, is our salvation and way free.

John Reilly – ‘LA LA LA (Bulletproof)’

In John Reilly’s latest single, the anthemic ‘LA LA LA (Bulletproof)’, he sings, “All we need is a telephone / a satellite beaming me to your home.” It’s the perfect example of just one way many of us have tried to maintain some sense of normality during this long pandemic. Musicians are no different, they need that means by which to stay connected. And so, to a rocker who is desperate and determined to stay in connection, he uses any method at his fingertips, be it phones, satellites, the Internet, or smoke signals.

Shonte Renee – ‘Pretty Girlz’

Atlanta native Shonte Renee radiates infectious girl power and with her powerful voice she’s been going against the grain ever since she first arrived in the music industry. Drawing influences from other powerful women, this unstoppable woman’s sound has been heavily influenced by her own grandmother’s voice, along with the fierceness of Tori Braxton and Janet Jackson. Shonte Renee’s latest single, is just one more example of how fearless she actually is.
