Yet while friends and competitors The Dandy Warhols were portrayed as undisputed winners at the end of that film – it’s Anton’s band who marches on with a 20-plus album career and a fanbase big enough to comfortably fill Brixton Academy.

Boston Band Looking Glass War Starts A Sudden Shoegaze Shift With New Single

Today, the Boston-based post-punk outfit Looking Glass War ventured into a new type of sound, moving from the more glamorous style of their debut track, ‘Arrive!’, to a shoegaze-esque brand of music with the release of their latest track, titled ‘I Can Tell By The Cars’. The four-man army show their love and inspiration from late 1980s British music on the piece, creating a much more melancholic track than their aforementioned debut single.

Yesterday, on July 12th, alice does computer music released her latest single, ‘Coiled’. The Chicago-based artist, whose real name is Alice Gerlach, is releasing the track to serve as a preview into what her newest album, ‘Shoegaze 5G’, will sound like. The aforementioned album will be releasing later this year, on August 4th, 2023, following up her debut self-titled EP which was released in 2021.
