Maryland faith-based artist Kevin Phillips knows who to thank for every blessing in his life, and every day, when he loses sight of the better things in life, he turns to God for help and inspiration. Kevin started his music career back in his teens, with ‘Trilogy’, formed with two friends. The trio was signed to record deals in New York City. Now a solo artist, Kevin’s infectious energy and faith in God has provided him with plenty of lyric matter, and his record label – Phillips Music Group also pays homage to his Lord, with its acronym also standing for “Praise Mighty God”.

And when we saw the name of his most recent single, ‘X File 8675309’ we laughed out loud, because, if you’re of a certain age, you’ll instantly know what it means – in 1981 it became the most most famous phone number on earth, belonging to Jenny, from the song by Tommy Tutone, ‘867-5309/Jenny’. The song doesn’t just use the number, but it also features the hook from that song.
