Beatie Wolfe Releases New Music With Multi-Platinum Producer Linda Perry

Singer-songwriter and artist Beatie Wolfe first came to our attention last year when she held her acclaimed solo-exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. Always open to doing things that nobody else has tried before, Beatie has had her music beamed into space, and was appointed a UN role model for innovation. Beatie’s latest project is her new track, co-written and produced by multi-platinum selling producer, Linda Perry, and her empowering label, ‘We Are Hear’, which she co-founded with Kerry Brown. ‘Barely Living’ is an Americana style song, and is out today April 12.

doubleVee Release Single ‘Ladder for the People’ Ahead Of EP ‘Songs for Birds and Bats’

doubleVee are Allan and Barb Vest (hence the duo’s name), who are partners in life as well as in music. They launched in 2012 (and married in 2015) and are set to release their new EP, ‘Songs for Birds and Bats’ this Friday, April 12. ‘Ladder for the People’ is from that EP, and has a throwback sort of sound something akin to that of DEVO, together with a fun music video.

Heron – ‘Splashdown’

On first listening to ‘Splashdown’ by Heron, I’m reminded of Joe Satriani’s track, ‘Always With Me, Always With You’, from his breakthrough 1987 album, ‘Surfing With The Alien’. There’s also elements that suggest Mark Knopfler’s ‘Going Home’, from the film ‘Local Hero’. There’s maybe even a hint of Tommy Emmanuel there. None of this is to suggest Heron’s piece is derivative, but rather, it’s an indication of the incredible quality of the track.
