Following on from our review of ‘Firecracker‘, we speak with Rando Rexx and find out more about his music and what keeps him going.

What keeps you motivated at 19?  

    Love for music.

    How do you stay grounded as more people start noticing your music?  

      I always treat my career as if there’s always more to do and more ways to improve. 

      What inspired the love story behind “Firecracker”?  

        Just general feelings and concepts of a summer romance. 

        Did you want to show both the excitement and the risks of young love? 

          Yes. 

          Why was it important to show simple, everyday moments in the video? 

             I feel like the concept of this song was something that a lot of people could resonate with. 

            What was your favorite part of filming those date scenes? 

              The vibes were great. It feels authentic. 

              How did you want the energy of young love to come through in the song?  

                Fresh/summer vibe.

                What does carving your own path mean to you?  

                  Being innovative, creative and not being limited on creativity. 

                  Do you feel like you’re carrying on a family legacy? 

                    Yes. 

                    What would you say to other young artists chasing their dreams?  

                      Believe in yourself the way you want others to believe in you.
