The Bouquet Sessions Unveil A Synth-Pop Thriller With ‘International Spy’

Released on the 1st of November, ‘International Spy’ is the new single from trio, The Bouquet Sessions, and evokes the very best of 80s Brit-pop, despite the band being from Buenos Aires, and very much from today.

‘International Spy’ is available to stream and download here.

Gloriously synth-laden, with vocals that could easily belong to Howard Jones in his prime, or even New Order, ‘International Spy’ tells the story of a Secret Agent of Love, who traverses the sheer minefield of relationships in today’s age of “connectivity”. The song combines the upbeat fun of 80s style pop with very modern themes, and, right from the very first notes, which jump from ear to ear, captivate the listener as it tells a tale of infatuation and mind control.

Singer-songwriter Paul Richart, alongside producers Maxi Castelli and Laureano Holgado came together as The Bouquet Sessions in June last year, and recorded ‘International Spy’ in their basement. The lyrics of ‘International Spy’ explore how social media warps destiny and causes paranoia. At the same time, they also celebrate the thrill that comes with ghosting, in a world where otherwise we are always exposed.

‘International Spy’ is just one of many tracks from The Bouquet Sessions, who release original tracks and covers every month. You can find out more about The Bouquet Sessions and their music online on InstagramFacebook, Spotify, and Apple Music.
