Jessica Chaz Ignites the Dancefloor With ‘Your Love Remixes’ EP

Released on the third of October, ‘Your Love Remixes’ is the latest EP from Vancouver-based singer songwriter, Jessica Chaz. The EP comprises five tracks, all re-imaginings of her heartfelt song, ‘Your Love Is All I’m Ffter’, which she co-wrote with her sister, Vanessa Mood.

Tracks 1, 2, and 5 are remixes by Imani Pressley, Steve Kroeger, and DJW, respectively, while track three features prestigious Vancouver guitarist, Tristan Paxton, and mixed by Chaz’s friend, and engineer Kaj Falch-Nielsen at Vancouver’s Blue Light Studio.

Track 4 is a remastered version of the original release, which came out last year to high acclaim. Additionally, the Imani Pressley remix is accompanied by a lyric video, which can be viewed below:

‘Your Love Remixes’ EP is out now, and is available to stream and download here

‘Your love is all I’m after’ is a celebration of the many different sorts and phases of love, and should certainly find a place in the hearts of listeners, whether they’re currently involved with someone, or anticipating a love that’s yet to come. Each remix has been given its own unique sonic treatment, ensuring that they individually reflect the diverse influences of the collaborators.

The Imani Pressley Remix, for example, is a soulful rendering, with a strong R&B vibe, including vibrant brass and bass guitar instrumentals. Meanwhile, in the hands of Steve Kroeger, the track has been transformed into an upbeat, club-ready dance mix, that will draw instant approval from EDM fans.

The Tristan Paxton version is much slower, highlighting the guitarist’s playing, while allowing Jessica to show off her vocal chops, giving the song an anthemic feel.

The DJW Deephouse Remix is a further dance rendering, demonstrating just how versatile the song actually is.

Originally from Durban, South Africa, but now based in Vancouver, Canada, Jessica Chaz’s musical journey began with her first band, Seasons, and performances at iconic venues in South Africa, such as the Centre for Jazz & Popular Music, and headlining events during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. She’s certainly not let the grass grow under her feet following her re-location to Canada, swiftly earning her place as one to watch at the 2014 MIX Showcase in Vancouver, and performing at the Canadian Music Week Festival in Toronto in 2019.

Jessica Chaz’s debut EP, ‘Dreamin’, was released in 2018, and reached the number 23 spot on South Africa’s iTunes Pop Albums chart, and got as high as number 53 in Canada. Her 2023 single, ‘Will you love me’ reached the top spot on South Africa’s Pop Vocal iTunes Chart, while her 2023 EP, ‘River’ got as high as #44 on the US iTunes Pop Charts, and #4 in South African Pop Albums.
