Eddy Puyol Gives Us Good Vibes Only With ‘Run It Back’

Eddy Puyol fuses deep grooves, smooth melodies, and the heat of South Florida in his latest single, ‘Run It Back’. An irresistible dance track, Puyol speaks from the heart as he delivers a fine tune focused on his core themes: faith, family, and fun.

With unapologetic grooves that blast straight into the soul, ‘Run It Back’ gives nods to legends like Parliament, The Dazz Band, and Kool & The Gang, while Puyol adds his own polished and heartfelt flavour, full of soul, confidence, love, and gratitude. These last two elements are especially for his wife, family, and all those who support him. He slows down on the funky rhythms as he gets to the bridge, where he reflects deeply, singing, “Life ain’t always about going a hundred on the highway”, reminding listeners to always be present, breathe deeply, and appreciate those who are most important to you.

The music video for ‘Run It Back’ sees Eddy Puyol in classic party mode, singing set against jacked up cars, stacked on wheels almost as tall as him. But that all fades to insignificance, when you realise he’s surrounded by all those he loves – he’s got his fam with him all the time. It’s energetic and fun, full of rhythm and real joy. Directed by Will Thomas, and shot outside Tommy “Urban D.” Kyllonen’s Crossover Church in Tampa, Florida, we feast our eyes on the Chevy and Cadillac, among other cars and trucks, as they roll on through, courtesy of Underground Rim King. There’s a real feeling of community and love, as Eddy’s friends, family, and crew dance, and laugh, their smiles lighting up every frame.
