Rising UK Duo ORTU Drop Empowering Debut Featuring Roxy Yarnold, ‘Level It Up’

Out tomorrow, the 19th of September, ‘Level It Up’ is the vibrant debut from UK duo, ORTU. The track features the vocals of Roxy Yarnold, who also joined ORTU and Meg Birch on co-writing.

Comprising Jimmi Clarke and Josh Bunce, both seasoned musicians in their own right – Jimmi has spent years touring with the likes of Gloria Gaynor, while Josh’s roots are in classical music and singer-songwriter – ORTU conceived of ‘Level It Up’ as a song they’d want their daughters to hear. With its upbeat tempo blending pop, electronic, and house influences, it’s ideal for not just listening playlists, but also for pumping up the energy of clubs and gyms alike.

‘Level It Up’ is packed full of empowering messages, delivering a story of self-worth in a world where love is often reduced to cheap and easy physical connections. The song turns that idea on its head, and instead is a celebration of relationships that have been built on mutual respect, boundaries, and inner strength. It’s a glorious call to demand more from love, and from life, and to know your true value, and never settle for anything less.

ORTU was taken from the Latin word for “rising”, and the duo aim to share with listeners their passion for honest storytelling through music. Recorded in their studio in Suffolk, ‘Level It Up’ brings together live bass, guitars, keyboards, and percussion. with programmed drums, into a delightful, and motivational whole, Listeners will feel ready to go out and take on the world with its uplifting and motivating groove.

‘Level It Up’ is out tomorrow, September 19, and can be pre-saved here. You can find out more about ORTU and their music online on Instagram, and Facebook.
