Terry Milla Is At His Most Vulnerable Yet With ‘GoodBye Baebe’

Terry Milla keeps it real 100% of the time, showing his vulnerability and determination 24/7 – and that’s the way we like it. With new single, ‘GoodBye Baebe’, he’s offering fans an intimate look at his complex upbringing, and showing them a way towards revival, stability, and prosperity.

Imparting his words of wisdom through his music, with the aim to motivate, and never judge, Terry Milla empowers in ‘GoodBye Baebe’. There’s the beat that never stops, the bars that hold sway, the infectious hook, and above all, the lyrics, that stir the very soul. Milla paints a clear portrait of the connection between agency and greatness, tenacity and triumph, showcasing the leader he is today, a reflection of his tenacity and power to show up for himself. Not only that, he encourages others to “rewrite the story to another life that’s better”.

The music video for ‘GoodBye Baebe’ sets out to inspire those who feel their lives don’t matter, with his story of resilience and tenacity. Milla stands against a wall in Atlanta’s West End, in front of a mural adorning a vegan juice and smoothie bar features rapper Nipsey Hussle, and herbalist Dr Sebi. The pair meet eye to eye, but between them is the message, “The Highest Human Act Is To Inspire”. It’s as if it was written for Milla himself, as he recounts the days of his youth, taking us up to where he is now – a professional who’s found success in many facets of his life, while never once squashing his own personality. The clip weaves in photos of the days when Milla and his friends were “living like yung villains,” watching his “potnaz die and go to prison” – the memories might be distant, but they’re still there, in the back of his mind, to remind him how far he’s come out the other side. And while he’s said goodbye to that life, he’s still the same voice of the streets he’s always been – just entering a new phase, where he’s going to shine even brighter.
