Charlotte Summers Is Empowering With New Soul-Pop Anthem, ‘STEPS’

A soul-pop sensation based in Marbella, Charlotte Summers’ new single, ‘STEPS’ is out now, and bears testimony to the importance of being resilient, self-love, and determined.

Released on June 15, ‘STEPS’ sees Charlotte dig deep into her personal reflections of growing up. The track was originally written when she was 14 years old, composed at her piano, and put aside while she focused on her studies. Later, while working in the studio with producer Nick Southwood, she showed him a video of the track, thus starting it on a new journey.

With Southwood, ‘STEPS’ was transformed into the catchy soul-pop track it is today; Charlotte’s vocals rich and powerfully set against the horns, guitars, keys, and percussion, as well as enthusiastic backing vocals.

The lyrics for ‘STEPS’ are emotionally charged lyrics, conveying perfectly the message that we all need to keep moving forward, love ourselves, and rise like a phoenix above it all – and never letting anyone dull our shine.

Charlotte Summers started out on her musical journey with piano lessons at the age of 5, leading to a role at the age of 8 as young Eponine in Les Misérables. From there she has seen her star continue to rise, with performances on The Voice Kids Spain in 2015, competition victories in Spain, and in Italy, and additionally on Japanese TV, where she appeared on a popular show, beating out some of the best child singers in the world. She went viral on social media, leading to an appearance in 2017 on NBC’s Little Big Shots, followed by a run on season 14 of ‘America’s Got Talent’ in 2019, earning praise for her performances of ‘I Put a Spell on You’, ‘You Don’t Own Me’, and, ‘Diamonds Are Forever’.

Charlotte is now studying Music Production and Vocal Performance at university in London, and is set to release her debut EP later this year.

‘STEPS’ is out now and is available to stream and download here. You can find out more about Charlotte Summers and her music online on InstagramFacebookYouTubeTikTok, Spotify, and Apple Music.
