SUPER-Hi and NEEKA Give Us The Perfect Antidote To Winter With ‘Get Ready’

The creative powerhouse Super-Hi and NEEKA have come together on their latest “Euro-Summer” anthem, ‘Get Ready’, which feels like the perfect antidote to those of us who feel that winter is never going to end.

Comprising George Tizzard & Rick Parkhouse, UK duo Super-Hi are also known as Red Triangle, and have been responsible for chart-smashing hits with David Guetta, Charlie Puth, Halsey, among many others. Now they’ve joined forces with singer-songwriter duo NEEKA, who’ve previously collaborated with the likes of Drake, Miley Cyrus, and Avicii.

‘Get Ready’ is a golden ray of sunshine, bringing with it sweet sea breezes and all the hype we need for the summer that’s to come. It’s relentlessly cheerful and upbeat, with its ethereal vocals and danceable groove, yet it’s wistful and nostalgic, harking back to the long hot summers of the distant past which may well have only occurred in our imaginations rather than in reality.

Back in 2022, this group released ‘Following The Sun‘, which, while containing much of the same sorts of upbeat vibes, served more as an anthem to the adventure; ‘Get Ready’ on the other hand feels more like a gentle nudge of encouragement, for those a little wary of setting out on their next great escape.

Basslines that are almost excessively groovy are paired with sparkling synths and a melody that could just as easily be rooted in the early 2000s as today, and the music video for ‘Get Ready’ continues with this breath of fresh air, as we follow the journey of a woman as she takes the plunge and follows her daydream into reality.

Gorgeous seascapes, evocative greenery, and breezes that you can almost feel are combined with a soft hazy warmth that feels like a warm hug, one we’ve been waiting a long time for. It’s nostalgic yet somehow hopeful about the present day. Retro and yet modern. Let’s all jump into the van and seek out our own adventures. Who’s with me?
