Makes My Blood Dance Bring The Perfect Kinetic Storm With ‘Heavy Metal Armour’

Bringing all the ingredients necessary to make the perfect sonic confection, Brooklyn’s Makes My Blood Dance are delighting the sound waves with their new single and video, ‘Heavy Metal Armour’.

Each release from this incredible band is an improvement on the last, as they evolve their sound every time, honing their craft though sweat and tears – and dancing blood of course. Founders EV0 and lead guitar/programmer Jon Kristian have now been joined by Lucy on bass, and G-Rex on beats, meaning this quartet is even more focused and fiery than ever before.

MMBD are working towards their debut full-length album, which is being produced in collaboration with Mikal Blue (One Republic) and Bret “Epic” Mazur (Crazytown), and the word on the street is that they’re about to sweep listeners off their feet.

New single and video, ‘Heavy Metal Armour’, is the first single from their upcoming album, and examines the barriers that are far too often built up in relationships. They call the lovers back, to “remember who they are,” and remember the romance that makes it all come to life. With growling guitar riffs supporting EV0’s raw vocals, ‘Heavy Metal Armour’ is electrifying. As the chourus launches, the sound mellows, just before the drums come thundering back, with their guitar rippling in intensity.

The music video for ‘Heavy Metal Armour’, like most of the clips from this band, combines a somewhat risqué choreography with ravel metal: think Dancing with the Stars crossed with soft porn.  Captivating from the very start, the band capitalise on their immense stage presence, wearing stunning costumes that each have their own personal touch: EV0’s suit is hand-painted, Jon Kristian’s jacket is studded, and Lucy wears a glittering corset.

Fusing music, fashion, and showmanship, Makes My Blood Dance have solidified themselves as peak showmen, and their live shows pay testament to this. Fans can see the band in all their glory on their 26 date tour, which sees them supporting Tommy Vext on the Gods & Monsters tour, on the following:
