In anticipation of his third studio album, ‘Unreal Unearth‘, out this Friday, Hozier has released the official video for his latest single, ‘De Selby (Part 2)’, starring Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson.
Drawing inspiration from the song’s title that shares its name with a character from Irish literary classic, ‘The Third Policeman’, the visual finds the Tony Award, Golden Globe, and Critics Choice-nominee traversing deserted landscapes as a man who is unknowingly dead. Watch the Wolf James-directed video here.
Speaking to the visual, Hozier said,
“I’m very proud to release this collaborative video for ‘De Selby (Part 2)’ featuring the incredible Domhnall Gleeson and directed by the great Wolf James. Working together with such creative talents toward this piece was a pleasure, and I’m honored that Domhnall Gleeson would bring his remarkable skills and this stunning performance to my work.”
The GRAMMY®-nominated / RIAA Diamond-certified singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist is gearing up to release his forthcoming album, ‘Unreal Unearth’ tomorrow, August 18. The 16-track LP features previously released singles, ‘De Selby (Part 2)’, ‘Eat Your Young‘, ‘All Things End‘, and, ‘Francesca‘, which is currently top 5 at Triple A radio, as well as 11 brand new songs including a feature from Brandi Carlile on, ‘Damage Gets Done’. ‘Unreal Unearth’ will be available globally both digitally and in various physical configurations including standard black LP, raw ochre D2C exclusive LP, burnt clay Amazon exclusive LP, light umber indie retail exclusive LP, CD, and cassette.
