Berlin Group 5ON5 Release Acoustic Rendering Of Their Authentic Love Song, ‘Discover’

Released on May 19, ‘Discover (Acoustic)’, is the new single from Berlin-based fourpiece, 5ON5. The group, who last year released the fantastic tracks, ‘100 Lovesongs’ and ‘Don’t Dance’, have re-configured their track of the same name that they released in April this year.

The acoustic version of ‘Discover’ strips the track down to its bare bones, and gives it a more refined feel. As the track was originally written on the acoustic guitar, this version is therefore more authentic.

‘Discover’ takes a lyrical journey though longing for love instead of just friendship; something I’m sure many of us have experienced in our lives.

Even though the track is just over 2 minutes long, it’s still plenty of time to evoke the feelings of wanting more than you’ve currently got with the object of your affections. The song is light and upbeat, but there’s nonetheless a slight tinge of heartache and despair.

The band have released 3 versions of the track, titled “Take 1”, “Take 2” and “Take 3”. While they’re not too different from each other, it’s still worthwhile listening to all of them.

5ON5 comprise singer-songwriter Max, who has had more than 20 years experience in the music industry; rapper and songwriter Maxx, whose experience is slightly less than Max’s (by about 20 years); $inan, a producer and rapper; and last but not least, Yumin, who completes the group with her gorgeous vocals.

5ON5 have so far found success in the Top 300 on the German Radio Airplay Charts, as well as the Top 100 College Radio Charts.

‘Discover (Acoustic)’ is out now and can be streamed and downloaded here. You can find out more about 5ON5 and their music online on Instagram, Facebook, Spotify, and Apple Music.
