‘Diamonds’ is fast-paced and catchy, with the singer telling the story about a woman he likes, but not knowing how to approach her – because he “don’t know nothin’ ’bout diamonds”. By the time the song ends, he’s none the wiser either, and we’re left to conclude that he doesn’t get the girl.
