Fresh from her lead role in Shadow Transit, the multi-talented star is embracing a well-earned moment of relaxation before diving into her next major project, A Thread Of Steel.
Singer, composer, conductor, and dedicated philanthropist, Qymira has built a reputation for constantly pushing herself creatively. And starring in an action film directed by Pedring Lopez clearly wasn’t enough – she also conducted the film’s score, creating the magnetic theme song, ‘Shade Of My Shadow.’
Now, however, she’s giving fans a glimpse into how she unwinds, leaning into the spiritual and reflective energy that has become such a defining part of her artistry.
Celebrating her birthday in Brazil, Qymira has temporarily stepped away from red carpets, Hollywood glamour, and UK tour dates in favour of some much-needed downtime. From lounging by the pool and swimming in the sea to showcasing pieces from her fashion label, Qymira Couture, the artist appears to be embracing a slower pace – at least for now.
Even so, the break isn’t entirely work-free. Training is already underway for the newly-announced A Thread Of Steel. Directed once again by Pedring Lopez, the high-energy historical action drama will see Qymira take on another heroic lead role. Set in China and centred on distinctly Asian storytelling, the project aims to build on the growing momentum surrounding Shadow Transit.
She has already begun sharing behind-the-scenes moments from the demanding preparation process, including aerial training sessions that hint at the scale of the action sequences to come. Still, Qymira remains candid about the realities behind the glamour, admitting: “God only knows the sweat and tears behind the scenes.”
