‘Night Stalker’ By 1st Base Runner Takes The Listener On A Spine-Chilling Journey

1st Base Runner released his fifth EP, ‘Night Stalker’ on 11 November last year, with the preceding 4 all coming out within a period of 2 years. His latest is easily his most dramatic and cinematic release yet, its experimental sound both ambient and spine-chilling.

Austin Texas based producer and multi-instrumentalist, Tim Husmann takes the listener into a whole new world filled with tension, release, and longing. A 4 track concept EP, ‘Night Stalker’ is filled with eerie experimental sounds that ebb and flow around the listener’s ears, submerging them in a surreal soundscape that is both fluid and tangible.

Dilly Gent, of Son&Heir Productions, who is also the long-time creative director for Radiohead, directed the music video for the very evocative, ‘Dark Drive Through The Canyon’. You can watch the video below:

Dilly shot 1st Base Runner as he sat high on a box inside a convertible, while being driven around Long Beach. He was told to sit as still as a statue; a tall order as it was quite cold outside, and he’d shot the underwater music video for his track, ‘Man Overboard’, earlier that day. As a result, Tim became ill, but he didn’t regret one second of it.
