Shaheed and DJ Supreme Are Proud To Represent Their Hometown With New Hip Hop Track, ‘Skates & Crates’

Birmingham Alabama’s Shaheed and DJ Supreme are artists who make sure their mouths don’t utter a word they don’t believe in or know about.

The hip hop duo’s single, ‘Skates & Crates’, comes with a video showing the pair hitting the decks in a skate shop, and dropping some breakdance moves at a skatepark. DJ Supreme has got the skate moves as well, and while Shaheed deftly rhymes along, DJ Supreme is cutting some fine action.

The track serves as a showcase for their local area, and there’s a shout out to Faith Skate Supply and the Citywalk Skate Park, built by Newline Skate Parks. The Skate Park was built to complement existing children’s playscapes, an outdoor skating rink, a dog park, walking paths, multiple performance spaces and gathering areas, The whole facility covers 31-acres, in a 10-block-long linear public park underneath the I-59/I-20 bridges in downtown Birmingham.

Speaking to Bham Now, Peter Karvoven, the owner of Faith Skate Supply said,

“There are 50 year old skateboarders, little five year olds, girls and guys and adaptive sports skateboards for people with disabilities. As long as you’re having fun, you’re doing it great.”

Shaheed and DJ Supreme believe in hip-hop, their listeners, and above all else, their hometown of Birmingham, and they’re proud to stand up and represent.
