Check Out ‘Dance For You’, The New Single From Jasenka

Listeners will find it nigh on impossible to resist the seductive and pulsating rhythms of Jasenka’s debut single, ‘Dance For You’. The track, which is in the Puerto Rican musical style, dembow, sees the artist paint a story with her thought-provoking lyrics and melodies.

While the track is Jasenka’s debut release, the professional mix of ‘Dance For You’ reflects that the artist took music production classes. The multi-talented artist uses the song to tell a deeply personal tale about toxic love, from which she has learned much. Jasenka says about the single,

“a chapter that was once buried has finally revealed its teachings to me through Dance for You.”

Fleeing in her youth from her homeland of Bosnia, Jasenka was forced to not just adapt to a new land, but also a new language. She turned to music for solace, and learned to play songs on her second-hand guitar. The passion for music found its roots in her father’s love for classic rock, and her mother’s love of classical music; it became very clear that Jasenka would follow a musical path. After first playing live with a band, Jasenka then moved into writing acoustic emo songs, and from there into indie-pop tracks. It seems now however that the fluid and hypnotic style of ‘Dance For You’ might find Jasenka a place on the charts, and we very much look forward to hearing what else she has on offer.

‘Dance For You’ is out now and can be streamed and downloaded here. Find out more about Jasenka and her music online on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Soundcloud.
