Premiere: LA Duo Peppermint Heaven Return with First Track From New EP

Out today, ‘1-2-3’ sees Peppermint Heaven take a small step away from their signature 80s sound, with their take on glam rock. The first single from their upcoming ‘Rocktropolis’ EP, ‘1-2-3’, via Megahit Records, it’s one that’s sure to win them even more fans.

LA duo Juno and Spark, performing as Peppermint Heaven, have become known over the past decade or so for their distinctly 80s flavoured synthwave and pop sound. Now the pair have turned a corner, sharing with fans their love of glam rock, on the new single, ‘1-2-3’. Produced by Peppermint Heaven, and mixed by Brian Reeves, known for his work with the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Simple Minds, Pet Shop Boys, and Selena Gomez, among many others, ‘1-2-3’ is not quite all big hair and platforms, but the addition of energetic lead guitars and a slightly more *angular* synth treatment, as well as staticky electric guitar and lots of fuzz means that not only does ‘1-2-3’ have a different edge to their previous releases, but is an exciting foretaste of what is to come from their new EP.

Speaking of the track, Peppermint Heaven said,

“1,2,3 is a healing poem and we are really proud of it in its completed form. Thanks to Brian Reeves who did a great job with the final mix of this great song.”

Peppermint Heaven’s new EP, ‘Rocktropolis’, marks a new beginning for the duo. Spark explained,

“In the making of Rocktropolis, we wanted to do a tribute the past, as well as give a strong message to the present and future about what we could all do to help the world. Juno’s lead singing in this EP is strong and can lead into the future to inspire all!”

‘1,2,3’ is out now, and is available to stream on Spotify.
