We’re Taking A Trip To ‘Dreamland’ With Pop Artist Savannah Skyy’s Debut EP

Released on April 19, ‘Dreamland’ is the debut EP from Dallas based pop singer, Savannah Skyy. The four track EP follows on from her debut single, ‘Kill My Vibe’. You can stream and download ‘Dreamland’ here.

Channelling both the disco era and the likes of Dua Lipa, Savannah Skyy will lift your spirits with her upbeat and incredibly danceable songs. Savannah’s vocals are strong and emotive, and the perfect match for the style of music she sings to. The artist, who has been performing a range of live shows across Dallas, including her EP launch at House of Blues, on 16 April, has been working for some time alongside Pogue Entertainment Group. She collaborated with songwriter Candice Pillay and producer Oscar Friedman on the EP, and has previously been compared to Aaliyah.

Songs such as fourth track, ‘Superhuman’, are empowering and quickly raise the mood of the listener. Set against a catchy beat, lyrics such as,

I’m going to wipe away all the things you say / And protect my heart / No I won’t let you take it

I’m going to live today / whatever come my way / And protect my heart / No I won’t let you shake me

remind the listener that we don’t have to accept things as they are, we have the power to change them.

Title track ‘Dreamland’ is has a super funky disco sound, and should by rights be a club banger this summer. Equally, ‘Fire’, track 2, will get you on your feet before you even realise. ‘Typical’, the third song on the EP, is an encouraging, and empowering track, advising listeners that they’re not alone in the emotions they’re experiencing, and that it’s okay to express them. Unlike some songs, where the message is lost under the music, Savannah Skyy is fully able to express herself in these incredibly relatable songs.

‘Dreamland’ is out now and can be streamed and downloaded here.
