‘Africano’ Is The Latest Single From Janicci & Alhe80, And It Has Got Us Up And Dancing

‘Africano’, the new single from Spanish artist and producer Janicci & Alhe80 harnesses the classic house sound of producers such as Matt Sassari.

The track, which was recorded on his smartphone while at work, is an upbeat bop and a half, with a rhythm that listeners will find hard to resist (case in point: it’s difficult to type and listen to this at the same time because I just want to dance).

In stark contrast to the impossibly catchy instrumental, the lyrics of ‘Africano’ are somewhat more sobering, with the artist pleading for his lover to take him back:

“There’s nothing I can do to make it better, and everything I say will make it worse, I acted like a jerk for my own pleasure, What have I become?”

Janicci & Alhe80 started out making music for his friends on his Nokia phone, and launched himself professionally into the music world during lockdown. His unusual moniker comes at the suggestion of his nephew, and is a blend of his old nickname, “Jani”, and the name of his hometown, Alcala de Henares. A virtual dance music machine, Janicci & Alhe80 have so far released more than 185 songs, many of which have found their way into Spotify playlists, such as EDM 2022 Bass Nation.
