The Veer Union Solid As A Rock With New Single ‘Standing My Ground’

The Veer Union first burst onto the scene with their raw, meaningful hard rock back in 2006, and they’ve never stopped sharing their incredible sound with the world in all that time since. Their latest single, ‘Standing My Ground’, out through Rock Shop Records, is sure to please their ever-growing fan base.

The Veer Union have found the perfect balance in their music; they weigh equally their aggressive, screaming heavy metal stylings, with powerful storytelling and pure pop rock vocals. Raw, thunderous instrumentals are layered upon more gentle sounds, making their songs both relatable and compelling to a wider audience, regardless of their preferred genre. The Veer Union have to date sold more than 150 thousand albums, and their music is streamed globally in its millions. On top of this they’ve had nearly a dozen singles make it onto the Billboard Rock Radio Charts.

Although they’ve had to put touring on the backburner, The Veer Union have kept up the songwriting, and their latest release, with Crispin Earl leading both singing and screaming, keeps fans hooked with his vocals that are filled with rage and passion, poured out o every fibre of his being.

The Veer Union’s most recent album, ‘Quarantine Collaborations’, has brought them great success, and shows that they’re not afraid to go in unexpected directions, such as their cover of the Shawn Mendes and Justin Bieber track, ‘Monster‘, back in December last year.

The conditions we have experienced over the past two years have required many of us to push through unprecedented challenges, and it’s been no different for The Veer Union. ‘Standing My Ground’ sees the band harness the struggle of people overcoming adversity and the necessity to move past their surmountable pressures and unchangeable mistakes.

The Veer Union show themselves to be an unwavering force to stand their ground by way of Earl’s screams, Ryan Ramsdell’s shredded guitar and Ricardo Viana’s energetic drums. It finishes on a call to action for listeners to stand up and hold their own in their battles.

The lyric video for ‘Stand My Ground’ is as beautifully simplistic as the song is powerful – it still conveys the intensity that is present in all of The Veer Union’s music, and ensures the listener is able to take it all in, and hang onto every word.

The band members perform against a white backdrop, with the camera casting a spotlight on each musician, collectively bringing together their combined talents. Special effects of fire and smoke, symbolising The Veer Union rising from the ashes and standing their ground only add to the powerful message of song. It’s one of their heaviest songs to date; the message won’t be lost on listeners, with lyrics like, “It’s not the end of everything. I’ll breathe again. I will stand up again. I’ll be standing my ground.”
