IRENE Of 4th Impact Set To Release Debut Single, ‘Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin’

Filipina pop singer IRENE is set to release her single on 13 February, just in time for Valentine’s Day. ‘Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin’, which translates into English as ‘Why Is It Still You’, is the debut solo release for the singer, who is perhaps best known as being 1 quarter of 4th Impact, comprising IRENE and her sisters Almira, Mylene, and Celina, and finished in 5th place on the UK X Factor series.

‘Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin’, written in Tagalog, or Filipino, the national language of the Philippines, the song came to IRENE over the course of a sleepless night during lockdown, and serves as an outpouring of emotions, captivating in its honesty. IRENE, with assistance from her friends Angelo Calucin and Renz Jomel, composed the melody around the lyrics, resulting in the beautifully haunting song about unrequited love.

‘Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin’ was inspired by the emotions IRENE felt during a previous relationship, and both moving and poignant.

You can pre-save ‘Bakit Ikaw Pa Rin’ here, and find out more about IRENE online on her Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube accounts.
